Whatever happened to good old-fashioned 'Hell-fire'?

Nothing has happened to it, its a combo of what you said, hell fire for ever and ever, that is at the same time out of the presence of God. No man has ever been out of the presence of God. ever. that is the reason Christ cried out, My God, why have you forsaken me, at that moment Christ was out of the presence of God and it was far more worse than the pain and death he was enduring.
